Why didn't I earn anything while I was away?
Offline progress needs the Botnet exploit. It unlocks the first time you reach Tier 3. Make sure it's switched on in the TOOLS tab.
Offline earnings are capped at 2 hours to start; upgrading RAM extends the cap. They also start at half your normal rate, which you can raise with OFFLINE EFF. in the CRED store.
What happens when the trace hits 100%?
You're TRACED: the run ends and you prestige automatically. You still earn CRED based on how far you got, and you keep it for permanent upgrades in the CRED tab.
Cashing out yourself with PRESTIGE on the TERM screen before the trace fills pays a bonus, and the lower the trace, the bigger the bonus.
How do I start over from scratch?
Tap ⚙ at the top of the TERM screen, then RESET ALL DATA. This permanently erases your progress, CRED, upgrades and unlocked exploits. Your vibration and theme settings are kept.
Can I move my progress to a new iPhone?
Tracr has no account or cloud sync, so progress doesn't sync between devices. Your save is stored on your device and included in its normal iCloud or computer backups, so setting up a new iPhone from a backup of your old one brings your progress with it.
Deleting the app deletes your save.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
No. Tracr works completely offline, and there's nothing to sign up for.
Does Tracr collect my data?
No. There are no ads, analytics or tracking, and the game makes no network requests. See the privacy policy for details.
Is this real hacking?
Not even a little. Every target is fictional and all the "hacking" is game logic: tapping progress bars on made-up networks. Nothing in Tracr touches a real system.
